Romans, though you’re guiltless, you’ll still expiate
your fathers’ sins, till you’ve restored the temples,
and the tumbling shrines of all the gods,
and their images, soiled with black smoke.

Meetup Everywhere

To help cultores find each other, and to promote active participation in local community activities, a "Meetup Everywhere" site has been created here.

"Meetup Everywhere" is different from normal "Meetup" groups in not being associated with any particular place. "Meetup Everywhere" is worldwide in scope, and anyone can initiate a meeting. We hope that this will be a useful tool for our community.

NEW: Follow Meetup Everywhere activity on Twitter at @cultusdeorum. Meetup tag for Twitter, Flickr and YouTube: #CDRMup.

  1. I think this is a good idea, but I hope you're posting it elsewhere than here so you can make as many people aware of it as possible. Also, has anyone considered organizing an online chat?

  2. Anyone can go to that Meetup page and get a gadget. Look for "Get widgets for your site". I hope people will do that and post them on their blogs, sites, whatever. What I love about it is that it is so grassroots. If people think it is a good idea, they will grab gadgets, spread the word and things will grow.

As for chat, well, we live all around the world, but notice that Meetup has good integration with Facebook. So I think that there are a lot of ways that we can network, and chat will probably be one of them.

So.... will YOU be posting a gadget?

  3. I posted it on my website:

  4. Too bad we can't add past meetups, we would be well past the 100 mark in Nashville alone.

  5. Salve Anna! Do you have an RSS feed? I could add that to my blogroll.

Salve Julia Aquila! Yes, it is too bad, but let's just look to the future. Before long we should have good numbers. I will talk to Lentulus about posting his activities too.
